The Houses

Eleven theatres from Naples to Oslo, bound by a single agreement: each one gives Dance Europa its stage for four weeks a year, and each one keeps a company class running every morning of the season.

Behind the curtain

Eleven stages,
one rehearsal

Every house in the network has been surveyed to the centimetre. A set built in Dresden fits Naples without a single cut; a lighting plot written in Vienna loads in Copenhagen in four hours. It took nine years and a great deal of arguing.
